RECIPE: Healthier AND Cheaper Frappuccino
DIY Frappuccino for a fraction of the cost
Recipe Courtesy: Dietitian Cassie Dimmick of Achieving Your Best
Ingredients:
1/2 cup strong coffee or espresso
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 cup milk of your choice
1.5 cups ice
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until well mixed. You can add in cinnamon, cocoa powder, or vanilla extract for other flavors.
*Note: This coffee drink has far less sugar and calories, compared to the frappuccinos you can buy. Those can have up to 200 calories, and that’s before you add flavored syrups, whipped cream and toppings. Cassie says every pump of flavoring in those drinks is equal to about 50 calories from sugar.
