This was only the 2nd marathon I have run (not counting the one Ironman race, which does include a marathon)—the first one being in Dallas as well—and I was able to improve my time by 39 minutes! The first time I had no idea what I was doing, I stopped at least 4 or 5 times to go to the bathroom (obviously TOO hydrated), walked through most water stops, and stopped to stretch at almost every mile after the halfway point. This time, besides using your nutrition and running program, I was able to train with a great group of people and then actually run with a fantastic bunch of experienced marathon runners. What a difference! It really means a lot to me to be able to end my season with a smile—thank you!
