Going from 160 lbs. to 133 lbs. has been an amazing journey in itself. Doing this in four months is astonishing! I considered myself fairly physically fit in that I ran and exercised on a regular basis so I knew I was not a “couch potato” and never had been. But for the last couple of years those pounds kept creeping up and no amount of exercise or dieting seemed to make a difference. At 58 I was 160 pounds and was almost wearing a size 14. Several people in my running club had been to Cassie. The more I heard the more interested I became. Then, Cassie came to speak to our club. I listened. I kept thinking. Well, what do I have to loose? I had tried several other weight lose programs. Not much happened except that I lost more money than weight. I set up an appointment, and did breathing test and kept my food diary. Well, Cassie found that my metabolism was really low. I was burning very few calories, mostly due to my age. The food I was eating was not bad. I never have been a burger and fries person. But, I was actually eating a LOT of good food. Fruit is a favorite. Cassie gave me lots of help in adjusting my eating habits as well as helping me with my weekly workout plan. Oh, my!!! In a short amount of time the weight started falling off. It got to the point that my daughter took me clothes shopping. At that point I was wearing size 10 and had lost about 15 pounds. I would have been thrilled to stop there. But, oh no. Things got even better.
