Research shows that your race times, endurance, and performance will improve with proper fuel and hydration. I am a Board Certified Sports Dietitian, one of the few sports nutrition specialists (CSSD) in the state of Missouri.

With my knowledge of the needs of every type of athlete, I can help you achieve your best during workouts and competition! I start by helping you with what you should eat and drink on a daily basis for optimal fuel and hydration.

Then, after we have the foundation where we need it, I help you with timing of your fuel for your workouts and race or competition days. From individual or team sports to triathlons and marathons, I can help you meet your fueling and hydration needs.

I also discuss which sports supplements work, if they are right for you, and how to use them. In addition, I do group talks and offer team dietitian services for several sports teams.

We begin with a complete evaluation of your current health status, body fat percent, metabolic profile, and fitness level. Your current supplements, medications, and health history will also be reviewed. Next, we will look at your current eating and drinking habits, along with your exercise or training schedule to evaluate where we can make changes.

Our goal is to optimize your workouts and recovery, and proper nutrition and hydration can help you achieve that. We will look at your previous competitions so we can learn from those, along with your upcoming goals for races or competition.

Lastly, we will look at any allergies, sleep habits, and previous issues with competition or training. This wealth of information will help us get to know you better so we can develop a plan to help you achieve your best at your sport. We have expertise with all types of athletes at all ages in both individual and team sports from recreational to elite levels.

With an evaluation completed, we can now develop your individualized sports nutrition plan, which includes everything you need to fuel and hydrate yourself properly.

Not only will you learn how many calories and how much protein, carbohydrates and fat you need every day, you will also learn how to actually do it. We will give you the knowledge of what foods are healthiest for you, which foods you need to limit, and how to incorporate eating out or other things that will come up in life.

You will have a plan for each type of workout you do with an emphasis on timing so you will know what to eat and drink, how much and when. Timing is so important for athletes so you can get the most out of your training which translates to giving the most on race or competition days.

Lets face it, accountability really helps you stay on track. A food diary is one of the best ways to be held responsible for what you are putting in your mouth. It is also one of the best ways to learn what to eat and how to incorporate recommended changes. T

he food diary is helpful to show trends in how you are eating and is a great way for our dietitians to show you what you can do better. Until you put our plan to work in your life, we can’t know if it will truly meet all of your needs and is doable. Only you can tell us that, and if we need to change some things on the plan that are not working, we will do that.

Our dietitian will make comments on your food diary every week and will make sure you know exactly what to do in every situation you encounter.

Types Of Plans

One on One (Individual)

1/2 Hour

  • This type of plan is just for you and meetings with the dietitian are on a one to one basis. You will get the most relevant and personalized plan with this option.
  • 2 weeks of food diaries are included in the first session.
  • Food diaries are $50 per month after that.
  • Initial sessions usually last 2 hours ($160) including the evaluation, plan, meal ideas, and goals.

Group Talks

1 Hour
$100.00
  • If you have a group of people with similar interests, our sports dietitian can help you with recommendations that everyone can use. Typically done in group seminars or talks, this is a great way to get a taste of what sports nutrition can do for you.
